The Aiken Junior Sports Association (AJSA) is an incorporated non-profit organization with 501 (c)(3) status. The AJSA conducts the Aiken Hook a Kid On Golf clinics each summer with non-compensated volunteers.  Golf facilities graciously provide their use at no cost to the program so that all funds received can be used for purchase of materials (clubs, shirts, bag, balls) which the participant takes home at the end of the program.  The funds also support lunches and snacks during three days of the week as part of an educational portion of the program. 

Thanks to the generous support of local individuals, businesses, the City of Aiken, and community grants, about 50% of the anticipated 2026 $330 per-child program cost is covered. Though we do charge a program fee to participants, no children are turned away due to inability to pay.  Historically, over 10% of participants are on scholarship as we work with some specific after-school programs and the Police Athletic League to reach underserved youth.
