Clinic Locations and Dates
The Aiken area is blessed to have numerous golf courses willing to support Junior Golf by donating their facilities for use by the Aiken Hook A Kid on Golf program at no charge. During 2026, we are excited to once again use the same five golf facilities which were used in 2025.
Session I Cedar Creek Golf Club June 1 – 5
Session II Aiken First Tee Facility June 8 – 12
Session III Palmetto Golf Club June 15 – 19
Session IV Houndslake Country Club June 22 – 26
Session V Woodside Country Club July 13 -17
The clinic times typically run from 8:30 – 11:00 on Monday and Friday, and from 8:30 – 12:30 on Tuesday – Thursday. The format for Monday – Thursday typically consists of four approximate 30-minute rotations (putting, chipping, range and course etiquette/captain’s choice). On Tuesday – Thursday lunch is provided followed by a Special Program concerning topics relevant to the kids such as STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) related to golf or meeting Aiken County Sheriff’s Department officers. On Fridays the kids will get to participate in a captain’s choice event on the course. Parents/grandparents are invited to watch on Friday to see how much their children have learned and to attend an awards ceremony.
All clinics limited to 35 participants except for the Aiken First Tee clinic which is limited to 30 participants. Selection of applicants will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Clinics fill up rapidly and the AJSA will do their best to update the Website of clinics that are full.
DEADLINE: All forms and payments must be received by Monday May 4, 2026 (or earlier). Later applicants will be considered if space is available.
Clinic costs
In 2026, the AJSA is instituting an additional clinic cost option for participants. The AJSA is committed to ensure each participant leaves the clinic with their own set of clubs. However, it is recognized that some participants would prefer to use their own set of clubs. Therefore, please pick between the following two options when signing up your is child.
Option 1: $175 per child which includes a set of junior clubs sized appropriately for your child
Option 2: $125 per child with the child providing their own clubs
The AJSA feels it is important for your child to have appropriately sized clubs. Therefore, we discourage younger children attending with adult size clubs.
Payment can be made online (3% processing fee) or by check payable to Aiken Junior Sports Association or AJSA
and mailed to 120 Colleton Ave SE, Aiken, SC 29801.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As noted above, there are limited spots available at each clinic. In the event you have made
a payment and the AJSA is not able to accommodate your child in one of the clinics, a total reimbursement will be
made. Please contact Mark Mahoney at 803-270-8206 or betsymark@bellsouth.net if there are any questions on
this process.
Signing Up Participants
The program is well known in the community, and we start receiving calls in late January asking for information and applications. In fact, most parents find out about the program from other parents.

Registration Form
When completing the registration form, please follow the guidelines below.
- Pick a first and second choice for preferred clinic. The AJSA will do their best to get you into your first choice but there are limited spots available.
- Most communication will happen by email. This will include a confirmation email for the Session your child is assigned. It is recognized that grandparents, stepparents or guardians may be signing up participants, so please make clear the primary email address(es) and phone number(s) to be used for communication. Also, make clear what number should be called if we need to contact you while a clinic is in progress.
- Check the box if you want the AJSA to order a set of clubs for your child and set up your payment accordingly.
- The AJSA will order the set of clubs sized appropriately for your child. If your child is near the top of a range shown, you may consider ordering the next size up.
- Pick a shirt size that you think is appropriate for your child. We are limited in our ability to provide different sizes than what is ordered.
- Please let us know of any medical and/or food allergies or restrictions. We normally provide lunches such as chicken nuggets, pizzas, sub sandwiches or hot dogs. Feel free to provide a packed lunch. Be sure to give us any special instructions that we should know about.
