Palmetto Golf Club
A prestigious private club founded in 1892, Palmetto is the oldest continually operated 18-hole course in its original location in the Southeast.
The par 71 layout plays at 6,695 yards from the championship tees, with small elevated and undulating greens and cleverly designed bunkers. The course was reshaped by Dr. Alister MacKenzie, who also designed Augusta National Golf Club.
Notable golfers including Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones, and Presidents Eisenhower and Taft have played here. The club opens for public play during Masters week in April.
